Here's the beautiful part: this hat uses less than one ball of worsted weight crochet cotton.
Currently, the flower is safety-pinned on, but I'm going to try some experiments with stitching on a piece of felt and a backing pin to see if I can make something a bit more stable.
I love the colours. They look great with my blog colour scheme. I'm a little curious about what this will look like with hair underneath it: weird or cute?
It looks very cute - the flower is a perfect touch. :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable :) I love your work!
ReplyDeleteI think it'll look super cute with hair underneath ;)
ReplyDeleteI bet that hat will about the right size for an 8-12 month old, depending on how much hair the baby has. It is a super cute springtime hat!
ReplyDeleteThe colours do suit your blog theme. A felt backer for attaching the rose sounds like a good plan to me!
ReplyDeleteSo cute :) I just finished using the Dainty Daisy pattern (at least in concept!) for a hat!! Love the colours you picked! Totally not weird to be thinking of hair under it... my thinking a random collection of doll heads in various sizes being the perfect go-to rather than a styrofoam ball is weirder! LOL
ReplyDeleteThe flower is the perfect touch, and I love the color combo! Thanks for sharing on my WIP Wednesday.
